Types of Movement
English has a very rich vocabulary, and often uses different verbs for the same action to show the mood or attitude of the person doing the action. For example look at Tara here. What is she doing? She is bending. Bending is when you keep your legs fairly straight and lower your upper body towards the ground. But now what is she doing? It is almost the same action, but because this action is done to show great respect, we call it 'bowing'. If Tara bends her legs as well, we use a different word again. Now we say she is crouching. We crouch when there is not a lot of room available, or when we want to hide behind something low.
If Tara wants to sit, but she has nothing to sit on, she can crouch even lower so that she is sitting on her heels. When you bend your legs but keep your back straight we call this 'squatting'. If you put your knees on the ground but keep your back straight, this is called 'kneeling'. Tara's favourite way of sitting is to spread herself out all over the armchair. Now that is sprawling.
If we just bend our heads and shoulders - for example so that we do not hit our heads in a low ceiling, we are stooping. Like this. On the other hand if a person is walking in this way simply because they cannot be bothered to stand straight, we say they are 'slouching'. If you walk in a very bouncy way because you are happy (maybe because it is a lovely day and you are at the beach) this lively walk is called 'skipping'. A slow, relaxed walk is called 'strolling' or 'sauntering'.
Now look at Tara. She is walking quickly and determinedly, and taking long steps. This kind of walk is called a 'stride'. If Tara is striding because she is angry or because she is off to do something, we would say that she is 'marching'.
Tara can go even faster. This is her running, but running rather slowly. This is called 'trotting' if you do it for a short distance, but if you do it for some time (for example when you run for exercise), this is called 'jogging'. Do you want to see Tara run as fast as she can? Go on Tara, run fast! Now Tara is sprinting, but she can't do that for very long before she runs out of breath.
Poor Tara, she's so out of breath she can hardly stand. She's using this tree to take some of her weight. When we do this, it's called 'leaning'. So Tara is leaning on the tree. Thanks for helping us Tara. Maybe you should take a rest now!

Keep On Being Humble

We need to remember to be grateful for what God does for us. When He brings good things into our lives, our attitude must not be, “Thanks for nothing,” but “Thanks for everything.”
When we go through difficult times we have a habit of asking, “Why me?” When we go through blessings, we should also remember to ask, “Why me?” It helps us to remain humbly grateful for all God has done.
If you want to see more of God’s provision in your life, say thank you more often, and mean it. Turn down the attitude of entitlement, and turn up the attitude of humble gratitude.
The Effects of Music

Music is a big part of our lives. We use it for special occasions and to set the mood in movies and television shows. Music can help us pass the time or connect us to our roots. Listening to music takes the whole brain, and has many positive and beneficial effects.
Heals - Music can reduce chronic pain and improve depression. It does this by making the body release endorphins, slowing the breathing and heart rate, distracts the patient, and helps give the patient a feeling of control. It can strengthen the immune system and reduce blood pressure.
Makes you smarter - Music can help you learn better in reading, math, and reasoning skills. It can also improve memory. Certain types of music stimulate both sides of the brain, thereby enhancing learning, concentration, and retention. Musical training improves memory even more than just listening.
Improves physical performance - There is a reason why you see people running while listening to their iPod. Music decreases fatigue and improves motor reflexes. It can help people with movement disorders.
Improve productivity - Certain kinds of music lessen fatigue. Music can increase productivity by making workers mentally sharper.
Calms - Music can calm and relax. It reduces stress and negative emotions. It can also help you meditate.
Improves moods - Music can lessen depression. Research is proving what many cultures have known; that music heals and has positive psychotherapeutic uses.
Here are some words that describe what music can do to you and for you: soothe, excite, relax, stimulate, meditate, calm, enlighten, frighten, give a feeling of foreboding, help you re-focus, invigorate, rejuvenate, stir your imagination, make you happy, lift your mood, restore, cure, heal, empower, stir, incite, lift your spirits, make you more alert, exhilarate, and bring about practically any emotion.
In summary, music is a lot more than a soundtrack to our lives; it is an integral part of our lives. Can you imagine a movie without some music? Would there even be entertainment without music? If you want to be healthy and smart, then music is the key. What people have known since ancient times is now being proven by research. Music is good for the body and soul.
My GOD Knows

This morning, in my time with the Lord, I ‘heard’ the word ‘Habakkuk’. So, in obedience, I opened my bible and there were the same words in Hab 1:2 … “O Lord, how long shall I cry, and You will not hear?” Of course, the prophet’s cry of desperation was of a totally different context, that I know – just being hermeneutically sensitive. But a cry is a cry.
Fast forward to the end of Habakkuk, and I read the familiar “Hymn of Faith”, as titled by the NKJV translation. Paraphrased to my situation, Hab 3:17-19 would read as such …
“Though the eczema is still there and the allergies don’t seem to go away; though the redness and itchiness still cause Sarah much discomfort and unrestful sleep; though we are trying and doing our very best and are tired out by this additional requirement with no improvement nor progress; though we are praying and praying and praying and praying and still no healing seems to be in sight – yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, and He will make me walk on my high hills.”
Although the situation remains the same, for now, I am encouraged that my God knows exactly what is on my mind and heart. He knows my struggles, challenges and doubts. I may not have received any answers from my reading of Habakkuk but it is very comforting to know that my God knows, that He loves me and cares for me. In that, I also know that He loves and cares for everyone. My prayer is for their hearts, individually, to be touched and encouraged by the Lord.
The wait for breakthrough might still be for a while more. How long? Only God knows. He holds a bigger picture that I am learning to see and to accept, even when I don’t see and at times very hard to accept. Hab 2:4 reminds me that “the just shall live by faith” and that is what this walk is all about. Faith. And not just believing faith, although important; but persevering faith that is tested by fire and affliction, out of which is forged the genuineness of faith that pleases God.

What are moral values?
Moral values are the standards of good and evil, which govern an individual’s behavior and choices. Individual’s morals may derive from society and government, religion, or self. When moral values derive from society and government they, of necessity, may change as the laws and morals of the society change. An example of the impact of changing laws on moral values may be seen in the case of marriage vs. “living together.”
In past generations, it was rare to see couples who lived together without the benefit of a legal matrimonial ceremony. In recent years, couples that set up household without marriage are nearly as plentiful as traditional married couples. But, not only are such couples more plentiful, they are also more accepted by other individuals in our society. In earlier society, the laws and morals simply came from the Roman system of law, which was largely based on the Ten Commandments. As society moved into the modern era, that earlier system of laws became more and more eroded.
Moral values also derive from within one’s own self. This is clearly demonstrated in the behavior of older infants and young toddlers. If a child has been forbidden to touch or take a certain object early on, they know enough to slowly look over their shoulder to see if they are being observed before touching said object. There is no need for this behavior to be taught; it is instinctive. Once, however, any form of discipline is applied to modify the child’s behavior, the child now gains the capacity within himself to distinguish his right behavior from his wrong behavior. Now, the child can make correct choices based on his own knowledge. The choices that are made by an individual from childhood to adulthood are between forbidden and acceptable, kind or cruel, generous or selfish. A person may, under any given set of circumstances, decide to do what is forbidden. If this individual possesses moral values, going against them usually produces guilt.
Religion is another source of moral values. Most religions have built-in lists of do’s and don’ts, a set of codes by which its adherents should live. Individuals who are followers of a particular religion will generally make a show of following that religion’s behavioral code. It is interesting to note that these codes may widely vary; a person whose religion provides for polygamy will experience no guilt at having more than one spouse while adherents to other religions feel they must remain monogamous.
Christianity goes beyond all other religions in that it is more than just a system of do’s and don’ts; it is a relationship with the living God through His Son, Jesus Christ. A Christian’s set of moral values go beyond society’s mores and selfish instincts. Christians ideally behave correctly because they love God and want to please Him. This is at once a high calling and a low position. It is a high calling because God has required that all who love Him should keep His commandments; therefore it is an act of obedience. John 14:15 says, "If you love me, you will obey what I command.” It is a low position because we must totally deny our own will to do what pleases the Lord. Christ Jesus as He lived His life on earth is our supreme example; if we pattern our behavior after Him then our lives are most valuable. John 15:10 says, “If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love.”

How to Make and Use an Essay Outline
How to Make and Use an Essay Outline
by Revival Rival on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 8:27am
An essay outline is probably the most important friend you will have while writing your essay. It is the scaffolding of your paper and the skeleton of your ideas. It is the framework by which you will write a killer essay. And frankly, it is difficult to write one without an outline.
When you begin writing an essay outline, use the following model as a guide:
I. INTRODUCTION:
* Thesis:_____________________________________________________.
II. BODY PARAGRAPH 1:
* Opening Sentence:___________________________________________.
* Detail 1:____________________________________________________.
* Detail 2:____________________________________________________.
* Detail 3:____________________________________________________.
III. BODY PARAGRAPH II:
* Transition/Opening Sentence:_________________________________.
* Detail 1:____________________________________________________.
* Detail 2:____________________________________________________.
* Detail 3:____________________________________________________.
IV. BODY PARAGRAPH III:
* Transition/Opening Sentence:_________________________________.
* Detail 1:____________________________________________________.
* Detail 2:____________________________________________________.
* Detail 3:____________________________________________________.
V. BODY PARAGRAPH IV:
* Transition/Opening Sentence:_________________________________.
* Detail 1:____________________________________________________.
* Detail 2:____________________________________________________.
* Detail 3:____________________________________________________.
VI. CONCLUSION:
* Reconfirmed Thesis:_________________________________________.
If you use this rough guide and fill in the blanks as you are researching your essay, you will find writing the essay so simple. You have all you need in front of you. It is researched and organized. All you have to do now is fill in the blanks with transition words and smooth language.

Thanks God
Dear God, I am soooo thankful for all my blessings. You seem to straighten up my life like a stitch made in a cloth then pulled to gather. Everything is coming together in every aspect of my life. I will always love you and worship you. Thank you from the very inner part of my soul.

The Key Excellent to Speaking.by hadi

How to improve our english speaking ability?? I believe that everyone has his/her own way to improve it. However, the easiest way to do it is going to abroad and implement it directly for some time. It is not a problem at all if we have enough fund then we can do that. But, how about those people who have no fund?? hmm,it is not a big deal. I think we just need to make our own environment, by all means, all around us is english. What we read, say, watch, listen, and so on is in english. Can we?? Hmm, those are very tough though, we just make those activities as a habit. I myself haven’t done it yet, especially in writing. So, by posting this writing, i hope there will be some feedbacks to correct my writing Back to the question, How to improve our english speaking ability??
I have already read an article from here to make our speaking is excellent. Oke, i will tell you straight to the point. Just remember, by giving this suggestion doesn’t mean i am a master in english. I am also learner and still learning it. I just want to share my knowledge. Got it?? hehehe..
Well, here is the key excellent to speaking (I just copied it from the article):
Suggestions For Powerful Listening and Excellent Speaking
Practice narrow listening
Narrow listening” means listening to many things about the same topic. This method is more powerful than trying to listen to many different kinds of things. Students who listen to similar things learn faster and speak better than students who listen to different kinds of things. For example, you can choose one speaker and find many things by him.
Listen to all of his podcasts, audio books, and speeches. This is powerful because all speakers have favorite vocabulary and grammar. They naturally repeat these many times. By listening to many things by the same
person, you automatically get a lot of vocabulary repetition. You learn faster and deeper!
Another example is to choose one topic to focus on. For example, you could read an easy book, listen to the same audio book, listen to a podcast about the book, and watch the movie.
I did this with my class in San Francisco. We read “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”. Then we listened to the audio book. Then we watched (and listened to) the movie. Then we listened to interviews with actors in the movie. My students learned a lot of vocabulary in a short time, and their speaking improved very quickly.
Divide your listening time
Which is better: to listen for two hours without a break, or to divide that time during the day? Well, dividing your listening time is best. By dividing your time throughout the day, you remember more and learn faster. So its much better to listen 30 minutes in the morning, then 30 minutes in the car or train, then 30 minutes coming home from work, then 30 minutes before sleep. In fact, this is the exact schedule I recommend to my students!
Use an iPod or MP3 player
iPods are fantastic. You can put a big listening library on one. Then you can carry your English lessons everywhere. You can learn English while walking, while shopping, in the car, in a train, while cooking,……. With an iPod or MP3 player, you don’t have to worry about CDs. Also, you can find a lot of English listening on the internet. You can find lessons, stories, podcasts, TV shows, interviews books. Simply download the audio, put it on your iPod.. and learn English anywhere!
Listen to Movies
Movies are great for learning English BUT you must use them correctly. Don’t watch all of an English movie. You will not understand it, and therefore you will not learn anything. Only watch one scene or segment per week (maybe 2-3 minutes). Follow this method:
a) First, watch the scene with subtitles in your language. This will help you understand the general
meaning.
b) Second, watch the scene with English subtitles. Pause. Use a dictionary to find new words you
don’t understand. Write the new sentences in a notebook.
c) Listen to the scene a few times, with English subtitles. Do not pause.
d) Listen to the scene a few times, without subtitles.
e) Repeat a) – d) everyday for one week.
On the second week, go to the next scene/segment and repeat again. It will take you a long time to finish a movie. That’s OK, because you will improve your listening and speaking VERY FAST. This method is powerful– use it!
Read and Listen at the Same Time
Listening and Reading together are very powerful. While you listen to something, also read it. This will improve your pronunciation. Reading while listening also helps you understand more difficult material. Read and listen to learn faster. After you do this a few times, put away the text and just listen. You will understand a lot more and you will improve faster. Always try to find both audio and text materials.

The greatest thing to be a Christian is that we have our own special relation to God directly cause we are His child. He accept us the way we are. If you understand that so well, and you know how to build your own special relation to Him, you will see magic everyday. I frankly tell you, I see magic from Him almost everyday, probably everyday, and I am not Bullshit.
